Digital Athenaeus è il sito della versione digitale dell’omonima opera di Ateneo di Naucrati. Si tratta dell’interessante progetto diretto da Monica Berti e sviluppato presso l'”Alexander von Humboldt Chair of Digital Humanities” dell’Università di Leipzig.
Queste le finalità del progetto:
“Provide an inventory of authors and works cited by Athenaeus;
Implement a data model for identifying, analyzing, and citing uniquely instances of text reuse in the Deipnosophists.”
Il testo riprodotto è quello dell’edizione Teubner curata da Georg Kaibel (1887-1890). Sono presenti nel sito strumenti per accedere al testo e per individuare gli autori e le opere citate da Ateneo.
